Another view of the Stone of Unction where Jesus' body was said to have been anointed and prepared for burial
The lamps which hang over the Stone of Unction and the mural behind it
The entrance to the edicule which is said to be the Tomb of Christ
Not sure what this is... the church had lots and lots of hanging lamps
The Catholicon which I believe means this particular room
Close-up of the lamps hanging over the Stone of Unction
A window in the Temple of Adam looking onto a stone which is supposed to be the Rock of Golgotha (where Christ was crucified). It's said that the crucifixion took place over the spot where Adam was buried.
The main entrance to the Church. The Chapel of the Franks is under the small dome on the right and is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and Saint John. It's said that this is where Mary withdrew during the preparation for the Crucifixion.
This is said to be where the three Marys watched the crucifixion -- Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and Mary of Bethany, the sister of Lazarus. Or Mary of the Mary and Martha story who might be the same Mary as Mary of Bethany. I only did two Google searches.
A burning candle of some importance
A beautiful ceiling vault
Devotional candles
